Search Tips

  • Utilize filters to narrow your search!
    • IFPRI's subscription includes Full Text, so click on "Full Text."
    • Narrow again to Peer Reviewed journals.
    • Want current research? Narrow down the year range using either the arrows or type in your year.
    • Narrow down by type (grey literature is included).
    • Looking for a specific publication? Select one of the options.
  • Use advanced search and include all of your specifications at the beginning. See the following table from EBSCO on correct usage of boolean operators. Email us for help with more complicated search strategies.
    • And Or Not
Each result contains all search terms. Each result contains at least one search term. Results do not contain the specified terms.
The search heart and lung finds items that contain both heart and lung. The search heart or lung finds items that contain either heart or items that contain lung. The search heart not lung finds items that contain heart but do not contain lung.
  • Keep track of your search history, to easily make small changes in order to better your search.
